Example images for rejected reason: Not Centered
These are actual images of scans that were rejected for 'Not Centered'.
The images shown below were taken from Light View 1 of our Quality Check process.
We have intersecting lines that cross over the center of Light View 1 so we can quickly determine if a stone is centered or not.
A stone may move if the cover of the BrillianceScope Analyzer is not closed gently, or if the BrillianceScope Analyzer is bumped after the cover is closed.
It is recommended to recenter the stone and rescan it before saving to prevent delays in getting an approval.
If a non-centered scan is saved, and then the stone is rescanned and saved again, they may both be automatically rejected for 'Duplicate' without us ever seeing the scans in our Quality Check process if the scans are sent to us at the same time.
GemEx Systems, Inc. does not require a stone to be lined up parallel to the edges of the image square in order to be approved, although we believe it makes the report look more pleasing to the eye to do so.
For elongated shapes such as marquise and emerald cuts, we recommend pointing the small ends toward the top and bottom of the image square.
